Nicole Bartet, designer + educator

Nicole holds an MFA in Costume Design from the University of South Carolina and a BFA in Illustration from Ringling College of Art and Design. Her professional career spans theatrical, entertainment, and operational costume design, with experience including Disney’s Costume Design Team, the Colorado Shakespeare Festival, Denver Center Theatre Company, The American University in Cairo, Mad Cow Theatre, and Asolo Repertory Theatre.


A recipient of USITT’s national Young Costume Designer Award, Nicole has designed for theatre, themed entertainment, and commercial product development, combining expertise in costume illustration, textile development, production processes, and large-scale design implementation. In addition to her professional design practice, she served as Chair of Fashion Design at Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design, where she mentored emerging designers and contributed to academic leadership and curriculum development.


Nicole’s work bridges traditional costume practice and contemporary design methodologies, with particular interests in digital costume workflows, textile innovation, and preparing students for evolving careers in the entertainment and design industries. She currently serves as a Costume Designer with Disney Live Entertainment.
